Classes

Classes are ongoing, and we change up the theme and instructional content every 4-8 weeks (see below for upcoming sessions).

Most classes are suitable for those brand new to belly dance (unless otherwise noted). Please contact me if you have questions/concerns about getting started! I am more than happy to help recommend a class (even if it’s not my own class).

Jam on it! – Cymbal Series

Registration is closed for this series. Subscribe to my mailing list for future class announcements!

Thursdays 6:45 – 8:00 PM    Sept 19 – Oct 24, 2019
Mountainview Studio – 20 Mountainview Ave, Woodstock, NY

In this 6-week series we’re going to make some noise! Experience the joy of community through music and dance, as we explore an earthy belly dance movement vocabulary with the option to play finger cymbals as you feel comfortable.

We’ll be breaking it all down from the top and building in layers, so whether you’re new to belly dance, or a more experienced dancer looking to up your cymbal game, there will be something for you to enjoy!

Attending the full series is recommended, as we will build on concepts progressively each week.

Cymbals will be available to borrow in class, but please bring a set if you have one.
We aim to maintain a supportive and inclusive class environment. Come as you are! All ages, gender identities, fabulous uniqueness, and abilities are welcome!

Drop-in: $15   4-class card: $50
Full 6-week series (use it or lose it): $70

Class cards credit can be used in any session and does not expire. Please purchase thoughtfully, as class cards can be traded with another dancer, but not refunded.

Payment accepted via Check, Paypal, Venmo, or exact change.

What to wear to class:
Soft stretchy clothing that allows you to move freely is recommended (yoga pants, fitted top, a hip sash if it makes you feel lovely! etc.). We dance in bare feet, but please feel free to wear flat dance shoes with a soft suede sole, or jazz shoes if you prefer (no street shoes). Socks with grippy treads also work!
